Sinopodophyllum hexandrum (Royle) T.S.Ying subsp. ramgopalii D. Maity, J. Ghosh & Midday, a new subspecies from the Sikkim Himalaya is described and illustrated. It is distinguished from S. hexandrum subsp. hexandrum e.g. by densely ciliate petal margins, longer filaments and shorter styles. A detailed description, illustration, field images and information on habitat ecology and phenology are provided. © 2019 The Authors
