We investigate the patterns in distributions of localizable entanglement over a pair of qubits for random multiqubit pure states. We observe that the mean of localizable entanglement increases gradually with increasing the number of qubits of random pure states while the standard deviation of the distribution decreases. The effects on the distributions, when the random pure multiqubit states are subjected to local as well as global noisy channels, are also investigated. Unlike the noiseless scenario, the average value of the localizable entanglement remains almost constant with the increase in the number of parties for a fixed value of noise parameter. We also find that the maximum strength of noise under which entanglement survives can be independent of the localizable entanglement content of the initial random pure states. © 2020 American Physical Society.

Uniform decoherence effect on localizable entanglement in random multiqubit pure states

In this paper, we study thermal quantum correlations as quantum discord and entanglement in bipartite system imposed by external magnetic field with Herring–Flicker coupling, i.e., J(R) = 1.642 e- 2 RR5 / 2+ O(R2e- 2 R). The Herring–Flicker coupling strength is the function of R, which is the distance between spins and systems carry XXX Heisenberg interaction. By tuning the coupling distance R, temperature and magnetic field quantum correlations can be scaled in the bipartite system. We find the long sustainable behavior of quantum discord in comparison with entanglement over the coupling distance R. We also investigate the situations, where entanglement totally dies but quantum discord exists in the system. © 2018, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Herring–Flicker coupling and thermal quantum correlations in bipartite system

We show that bipartite entanglement in an one-dimensional quantum spin model undergoing time evolution due to local Markovian environments can be frozen over time. We demonstrate this by using a number of paradigmatic quantum spin models including the anisotropic XY model in the presence of a uniform and an alternating transverse magnetic field (ATXY), the XXZ model, the XYZ model, and the J1-J2 model involving the next-nearest-neighbor interactions. We show that the length of the freezing interval, for a chosen pair of nearest-neighbor spins, may remain independent of the length of the spin chain, for example, in paramagnetic phases of the ATXY model, indicating a scale invariance. Freezing of entanglement is found to be robust against a change in the environment temperature, the presence of disorder in the system, and whether the noise is dissipative or not dissipative. Moreover, we connect the freezing of entanglement with the propagation of information through a quantum many-body system, as considered in the Lieb-Robinson theorem. We demonstrate that the variation of the freezing duration exhibits a quadratic behavior against the distance of the nearest-neighbor spin pair from the noise source, obtained from exact numerical simulations, in contrast to the linear one as predicted by the Lieb-Robinson theorem. © 2018 American Physical Society.

Scale-invariant freezing of entanglement

We derive complementarity relations for arbitrary quantum states of multiparty systems of any number of parties and dimensions between the purity of a part of the system and several correlation quantities, including entanglement and other quantum correlations as well as classical and total correlations, of that part with the remainder of the system. We subsequently use such a complementarity relation between purity and quantum mutual information in the tripartite scenario to provide a bound on the secret key rate for individual attacks on a quantum key distribution protocol. © 2016 American Physical Society.

Information complementarity in multipartite quantum states and security in cryptography

General quantum correlation measures such as quantum discord, one-norm geometric quantum discord exhibit freezing, sudden change, and double sudden change behavior in their decay rates under different noisy channels. Therefore, one may attempt to investigate how the freezing behavior and other dynamical features are affected under application of local quantum operations. In this work, we demonstrate the effect of local filtering on the dynamical evolution of quantum correlations. We have found that using local filtering, one may remove freezing depending upon the filtering parameter. © 2015, Springer Science+Business Media New York.

Effect of local filtering on freezing phenomena of quantum correlation

We check the decoherence dynamics of Measurement-induced Nonlocality (in short, MIN) and compare it with geometric discord for two qubit systems. There are quantum states, on which the action of dephasing channel cannot destroy MIN in finite or infinite time. We check the additive dynamics of MIN on a qubit state under two independent noise. Geometric discord also follows such additive dynamics like quantum discord. We have further compared non-Markovian evolution of MIN and geometric discord under dephasing and amplitude damping noise for pure state and it shows distinct differences between their dynamics. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
