Abstract

Conceptual problems in defining customer orientation, management commitment and continuous improvement in the context of an education system as well as operational problems in implementing them are discussed. Reference is made to some findings of a UNESCO-sponsored study of graduate employment and higher education in West Bengal (a state in Eastern India). Ishikawa's model for 'quality of working life' has been used to analyze involvement of teachers. © 1995 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
