Abstract
In the low-grade Daling metasediments of Gorubathan, the average U content of 3-4 ppm reflects the original U content of the unmetamorphosed sediments. The high-grade metasediments of Dikchu average 6 ppm, and the sulphide ores of this area also have more U compared to Gorubathan ores. This higher U content in the high-grade rocks and in the associated ores is believed to be the result of enrichment during metasomatic activity in the area. Nevertheless, the fact that the Daling metasediments have higher U contents than that of the sulphide ores appears to be independent of the grade of metamorphism in the progressive sequence. -Authors
