Simple apertures (3–4-colpate) are known to occur in the pollen grains of Capsella bursa-pastoris of the Brassicaceae. In this study we record the occurrence in this species of composite apertures (3-colporate) at higher frequency, for the first time, in addition to 3-colpate grains from Sikkim Himalaya. © 2018, © 2018 AASP – The Palynological Society.
